A pair of George II style mahogany side tables, circa 1900, with Cipollino Verde slab marble tops, the bases with a good colour and surface patina, on four scallop shell and acanthus carved cabriole legs to claw and ball carved feet.
Two very similar, period tables were made for Saltram House, Devon, a George II mansion house designed by Robert Adam, and described by Pevsner as ‘the most impressive country house in Devon’.
