A Regency rosewood gallery glass, circa 1820, of premier form with original brass screw thread to handle, rare for being in good untouched condition.

Gallery glasses, the accessory of the connoisseur, were popular from the Regency period. They were held at arm’s length to view objects in a library or gallery from a distance.
