A carved ebony or blackwood tray, Nagina, East India, circa 1900, by Moorad Bux Khoda Bux, Nagina, of fine detail and quality, with original printed paper label ‘Mistri, Moorad Bux Khoda Bux, Ebony Carving, Nagina, Distt. Bijnor.’.

‘Art critics of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries were astonished at the quality of ebony carving from Nagina, a town in the Bijnor District of the United Provinces’.
