Item of the Month: Chinese Tea Caddy

September’s Item of the Month is a rare Chinese export lacquered apple green tea caddy, China, circa 1830, of lobed circular form.

The apple green ground to this caddy is incredibly rare.

Christie’s New York, A Park Avenue Interior by Mark Hampton, 6th June 2011, for a tea caddy of the same form but in more common black ground, $5000.
